Live Well ~ Laugh Often ~ Love Much

He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much, who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men, and the love of little children, who has filled his niche and accomplished his task, who has left the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul, who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty or failed to express it, who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had, whose life was an inspiration, whose memory a benediction.

Happy Friday, dear friends!  Wishing you a day filled with love and laughter.

  1. Hey, you made me look up Bessie Anderson Stanley! Wow, can you believe this was more than 100 years ago? The concepts are universal and timeless. Plus I think you could substitute "happiness" for "success" and it would all still be true.
A happy Friday to you too!

  2. It's crazy how much has changed in 100 years, and how little. I have a painted wooden sign of this post's title, and Google led me to the poem. I love it! It's amazing that it has been attributed to so many famous authors, and that this is the only thing of note she wrote. She definitely left her mark!
